Before the advent of electronic mail, correspondence between the membership and the officers of the Southwest Conference on Asian Studies was conducted by annual (or bi-annual) Newsletters. A large selection of those records is now archived in the Special Collections of Coates Library at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. When electronic communication became common, the Newsletters were sent by email. Finally, when the organization went online, newsletters were posted on the SWCAS webpage. Below are records of those Newsletters that were posted online from 1997 until 2008. From 2009 until the present, all information that normally would have appeared online in the Newsletter, was attached or appended to the Annual Meeting webpage.
